General Information about GMR Hyderabad Airport.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (“GHIAL”), a joint venture company promoted by the GMR Group (63%) in partnership with Airports Authority of India (13%), Government of Telangana (13%) and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) (11%). GHIAL was mandated to design, finance, build and operate Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad as a world class Greenfield airport on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The project was envisaged as a synergistic ecosystem with Hyderabad International Airport as the core and surrounded by an Airport City, driving a host of commercial and social activities, aligned with the vision of the State Government and Government of India to develop Hyderabad into a world class Global city and a Preferred Destination for Investments.

Conceived as a new Gateway to South & Central India, Hyderabad Airport was commissioned in a record time of 31 months and inaugurated on March 14, 2008, with an initial capacity of 12 million passengers per annum (MPPA) and 150,000 tons of cargo handling capacity per annum. The airport master plan has the flexibility to increase the ultimate capacity to over 100 MPPA in phases. Currently Hyderabad Airport handles over 21 million passengers and around 148,000 tons of cargo annually and serves 17 International destinations through 21 International and 3 Indian passenger carriers and has 8 domestic carriers operating to around 53 domestic destinations. In addition to the above, 5 cargo airlines operate dedicated freighter services from Hyderabad Airport.

Today, Hyderabad Airport is rated as one of the best airports in the world and has set benchmarks in operations, service quality and passenger experience. It has been consistently rated among the best airports, having been ranked as Global Top 3 airports in 5 – 15 million passenger per annum category for 9 consecutive years by Airport Council International (ACI) – Airport Service Quality (ASQ) passenger survey and as World No. 1 for 4 times. Hyderabad Airport is also one of the most awarded airports in the world having won over 100+ awards for excellence in areas such as operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, safety, corporate governance and Corporate Social Responsibility among others. These awards reflect GHIAL’s endeavour to constantly strive to deliver service excellence to our passengers from all over the world.

Notes: Common for Export and Import

1.	Consignments of Human Remains, Coffins, Unaccompanied Baggage of the deceased and Human Eyes will be exempted from the purview of TSP and Demurrage Charges.
2.	TSP Charge applicable to Newspaper and TV reel consignments shall be at 50% of the applicable charge.

3.	Charges will be levied on the Gross Weight or Chargeable Weight whichever is higher. Where there is a misdeclaration of gross weight or chargeable weight on the AWB,the actual gross weight or the actual chargeable weight will be used for the charges whichever is higher.

4.	Demurrage: Export Cargo - Rate as given above will be charged after 12 Hrs of offloading of Cargo in Warehouse. Demurrage will be charged per day per Kg basis.
	Import Cargo - From Segregation Time plus 48 hours - No Charge.
	If the clearance is done on 3rd and 4th day from Flight Segregation Time then the charges are as per Slab 1 under 2(a), (b) & (c) per Kg per day. If the clearance is done after the 4th day of the Flight Segregation Time, the demurrage will be calculated cumulatively as under: a. Day of Flight Segregation Time - 4th day : Slab 1 b. 5th Day - 29 days - (both days inclusive) : Slab 1 & Slab 2 c. Beyond 29 days : Slab 3
5.	All billing will be rounded off to the nearest Rs. 5/- as per IATA Tact rule.
6.	Special cargo (VAL) consists of live animals and day old chicks.
7.	VAL cargo includes gold bullion, currency notes, shares, share coupons, travelers cheques, diamonds (including diamonds for industrial use) diamond jewellery,watches of silvergold-platinum and items valued at USD 1000 per Kg and above.
8.	For consolidation on Transhipment cargo, TSP charges will be levied to all types of cargo, in addition to Transhipment Charges mentioned above. Demurrage Charges will be applicable as per the tariff.
9.	All charges mentioned above excludes GST which will be charged additional at the prevailing rates.
10.	No outside labour will be allowed to handle cargo in Air India SATS Airfreight Terminal & AISATS COOLPORT.
11.	All charges include fee to Airport Operator.
12.	TSP charges are inclusive of forklift charges and any consignment requiring special equipment such as crane has to be arranged by shipper/consignee or its authorized agent.
